Welcome to God's Jam Session online! I am here to dispel the myth that God only likes quiet hymns, classical music, and soft beats. The Bible is very clear about the LOUD clashing cymbals we are to Praise Him with, the LOUD voices, and all the other LOUD instruments!
I am also here to perform, promote and establish an understanding of a form of music that I like to term "Prophetic Fusion". I hope you will look around, gain some understanding, listen to some good music and give me feedback on your opinions.
In the book of Second Chronicles, Chapter 5, we see the following:
One Hundred and Twenty Priests with trumpets to begin with, then the rest with Cymbals and other instruments. They were singing and playing the instruments in THE HOUSE OF THE LORD(Emphasized again in verse 14 as THE HOUSE OF GOD). How many people believe it was a quiet service? I don't think so. It was chaos. So full and thick was the Temple with the presence of God that the Priests could not even minister, or read the Word of the Lord to His people. Their sermon for that day would have to be put off for another day.
When was the last time you attended a Service where the Glory of God was so strong the Priests could not minister, but people were directly affected by God's divine presence and continued to sing and praise God? So much for limiting the song service to a certain amount of time. It became the entire service. I guarantee you the people left that service with all their needs met, and didn't stop talking about it for a very long time.
We all know the sounds that cymbals and trumpets make, and neither would be called a quiet or soft-sounding instrument. PLUS, there were ALL the OTHER instruments! It was a Holy sound that brought down the presence of God THICK!
OK, it doesn't say the specific word LOUD, but this scripture DOES:
Apparently, during their feasts and holy days, the Israelites celebrated with joyful loud music and praise to God so that their glad(happy)voices were heard across the land.
Solomon brought all of David's instruments into the temple along with everything else that belonged there(2 Chronicles 5:1), showing that all of David's instruments definitely belonged there. There was no question about loud instruments having their place in the Temple.
In Nehemiah 12, we see another gathering with loud singing and playing of THEM THAT GAVE THANKS IN THE HOUSE OF GOD.
Great Joy was how they praised God so they were heard afar off, even the wives and children were loud!
God is the Creator of all things. All things were created Good(see Genesis 1), including music that makes you feel, move and act. Satan can not create, as he is merely an Angel. He can only attempt to destroy our minds, by getting us to agree with him and speak things into existence.
In Proverbs 18:20-21, we find that we DO have the power to create, or make things happen, just by speaking them. "A man's belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."
